Privacy Policy
ExitLine (“the app”) is published by Dursun Aras (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the app touches, who processes it, and what your options are. It applies to the ExitLine app on the Apple App Store.
The short version
- You can play the whole game without an account and without giving us any personal information.
- Your progress is stored on your device and backed up to our cloud under an anonymous identifier that is not tied to you, so a reinstall does not have to cost you your levels.
- Save Progress with Apple is optional: it links that backup to your Apple ID so you can recover it on another device.
- The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which processes technical device data to serve them.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Apple.
- You can erase everything yourself, in the app, with Settings › Delete My Data.
1. Information we collect
Playing requires no account, no sign-up and no personal information. We do not ask for your name, e-mail address, phone number or location in order to play, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not build an advertising profile of you.
What we do hold is the game save described in section 3: your completed levels and best results, kept under an anonymous identifier so they survive a reinstall. It contains nothing that identifies you as a person unless you choose to link it to your Apple ID.
2. Data stored on your device
The app saves the following locally, on the device itself:
- Which levels you have completed, and your best result on them
- Your preferences: sound, haptics, high contrast, light/dark theme
- Daily hint and eraser counts
- Whether the “Remove Ads” purchase is active on this device
Deleting the app deletes this local copy.
3. Your game save in the cloud
From the first launch, the app keeps a copy of your game save in our cloud database, operated with Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC acting as our processor). It holds:
- An anonymous account identifier created by Firebase. It is not your Apple ID, not an e-mail address, and cannot be traced back to you by us.
- A randomly generated installation identifier, used to tell two installs apart when merging saves.
- A display name the app makes up for the save (for example “Oyuncu 4821”). It is invented by the app, never taken from your Apple ID.
- Your progress: completed levels, best moves and best times.
This exists for one purpose: giving your own progress back to you. We do not sell it, share it, or use it to contact or profile you. It is not a social account — there is no public profile, no friends list and no leaderboard.
Optional: Save Progress with Apple
Because the anonymous identifier is created fresh on a new install, that copy alone cannot be matched to you after a reinstall. Settings therefore offers Save Progress with Apple, which is off until you tap it. If you use it, the app asks Apple to confirm your identity through Sign in with Apple and links the existing save to your Apple ID, so it can be restored on a reinstall or on another device. Apple lets you choose whether to share your name; we do not store it in our database, we do not ask for your e-mail address, and we never receive your Apple ID password.
4. Deleting your data
Open Settings in the game and tap Delete My Data. This immediately and permanently erases your cloud-stored progress, the Apple ID link and the local save on that device. No request to us is required and there is nothing left for us to hold afterwards.
You can also revoke the app's access from your Apple ID at any time under iOS Settings › [your name] › Sign in with Apple.
5. Advertising
The free version of the app displays ads supplied by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), which acts as an independent controller of the data it collects. To deliver, cap and measure ads, Google may process:

We do not receive this data in a form that identifies you. The app requests non-personalised ads and does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission. How Google uses this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your choices
On iOS you can turn off app tracking under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, and limit Apple's own ad personalisation under Settings › Privacy & Security › Apple Advertising. The one-time Remove Ads purchase removes the ads shown between levels. Rewarded ads (for extra hints) are always optional — nothing in the game is locked behind watching one.
6. Purchases
“Remove Ads” is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. The entire payment is handled by Apple; we never see your payment details, card number or billing address. The app only learns whether the purchase is active on your Apple ID.
7. Analytics and crash reporting
The app includes Google Firebase libraries. Analytics and crash collection are switched off, and no analytics events or crash reports are sent. Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore are used only for the game save described in section 3, and Firebase Remote Config is used to adjust ad pacing settings. If this changes in a future version, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
8. Children
ExitLine is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
You can delete everything we hold yourself, at any time, via Settings › Delete My Data — or write to us and we will do it for you. Without a Sign in with Apple link we have no way to connect a save to a person, so we cannot look one up on request; the in-app button, which acts on your own device's account, is the reliable route. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights of access, correction, portability and objection under laws such as the GDPR or KVKK — write to us and we will respond.
For requests about advertising data held by Google, use the Google link in section 5.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page with a new date at the top.
